This is our cat, Kiki, and she will be 12 in mid-March. An old friend found her in a Kroger parking lot and brought her to our house. We had just lost our cat unexpectedly a couple of months before, and we weren't sure we were ready for another cat. But when my friend threatened to return the kitten to the Kroger parking lot, we decided to keep her. We named her Lucky, because she was lucky she was found. However, Nicky, who was 2 at the time, kept calling her "Kitty", but in his cute baby voice, it came out sounding like "Kiki". Lucky was forgotten forever; Kiki was here to stay. Despite the numerous hairballs and occasional pooping outside the litter box, we love her dearly and will always be grateful to the friend who saved a cat...and a still-grieving family.
Wow, she blends in with the hearth! Lol!
