A Little Christmas Crafting

I made the easiest project today. I actually made 4 of them in 10 minutes.

 Feather boa trees!

It was so easy...I bought large styrofoam cones and feather boas at Michael's. Insert a straight pin into the rope at one end and attach to the top of the cone. Wind the boa around to the bottom, and insert another straight pin into the end rope and attach to the bottom of the cone. Voila! A cool Christmas tree.

Then I made 2 white ones. I like the colored ones better, but I think the white ones would have been cool with gold thread running through.

I'm taking the 2 multi-colored ones to school. I think the kids will like them. I know I do. And such a piece of cake to make!

"Tis the Season

Ah, I love the holidays. I officially ushered in the Christmas season by attending our county's annual Festival of Trees, to benefit our local Hospice House.

Uh, oh...don't tell Mrs. Claus, but it looks like Santa is stepping out on her!

 God Bless America!

One last gasp of fall...I love the colors in this tree.

Grandma had a tree showing all her cooking skills.

 CANDY! Yum...

Ah, the Toy Story tree. One of my favorite movies!

Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings. There were lots of bells on this tree!

This tree was my favorite. I loved the blue, and the tree had a light dusting of snow. It was just beautiful!

Good grief, it's a Charlie Brown Christmas tree!

Aw, they put me on the tree! :)

My favorite color---a tree all in purple!

A wonderful message for the season and for life...Just Celebrate.

And my favorite Christmas picture of the day...

Our Christmas card picture for 2010. The boys in their Iowa shirts and the dogs shivering in the cold.

Bring on Christmas!

Evil!

We drove to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a late Thanksgiving with them. As is our custom, we stopped at Sonic in Bridgeville, Delaware to get our fix. This nastiness greeted us as we headed in to the facilities....

I've never actually seen a live black widow. Only dead ones. This was so creepy.

Several other people lined up behind me to take pictures. I guess I'm not the only one that's never seen a live black widow.

Ick.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for...

my family all being together this week.

good food.

good times.

5 days off!

Here's my plate at dinner...turkey, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy. Yummy.

It was followed by the ever-famous poppy-seed cake. It didn't look so hot this year, but it was still extremely tasty.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Trick or Treat!

I love Halloween.

Here's Nicky on his way to a Halloween party last night...

He tricked me in this get-up as Moe the Bartender from The Simpsons...he didn't have a treat for me! :)

Moving on through the holidays...tis the season!!!
